Exemplar joins the Horsa Group

Exemplar has joined the Horsa Group following the acquisition of 100% of its share capital by Horsa S.p.A. The transaction is part of the Group’s growth strategy and the development of Horsa Industrial, the Business Line dedicated to advanced technological solutions for the industrial sector.

During 2025, Horsa pursued a strategy based on selective acquisitions, aimed not at quantitative growth but at strengthening specialized skills and the ability to manage highly complex technological projects. Within this framework, the acquisition of Exemplar represents a significant step forward in the area of product development and advanced simulation.

As highlighted by Gabriele Cortesi, Vice President of Horsa and CEO of the Horsa Industrial Business Line, the transaction reflects the Group’s intention to integrate high-level technical expertise, a strong technological culture and proven capabilities in complex projects, while further strengthening its territorial presence and value proposition for industrial clients.

Exemplar has more than twenty years of experience in the field of Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) and is recognized for its expertise in the main simulation domains — structural, electromagnetic, fluid dynamics and multibody dynamics. The company is also a long-standing partner of Dassault Systèmes and operates on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform to support design, simulation and production processes through the creation of Virtual Twins.

From Exemplar’s perspective, Fabrizio Trentini, former President and co-founder of the company, underlined how joining a structured organization such as Horsa makes it possible to combine industrial solidity and strategic vision, while ensuring operational continuity and benefiting from a broader offering and new synergies to support growth and innovation.

Exemplar will continue to operate on projects characterized by high technological complexity in the industrial and manufacturing sectors, as well as in academia and public administration, within a Group context focused on specialization and industrial coherence.
